My Sunday night ritual: The Big Broadcast has gone... →
Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the ’30s, ’40s and ’50s, but this week it’s Halloween themed! The show this week ends with the broadcast of “the War of the Worlds”. Earlier, they had one of my favorite radio shows Lights Out! I forgot my radio at home so this week I’ll be...

Karel Cudlin's portfolio →
Seriously a genius. Check out his series on the Velvet Revolution, Vaclav Havel, Gypsies, or Czech Rep. 1990. And his others, too…they’re all incredible.  I do think his photographs taken in CZ are his best.  Oh yeah, Happy Independence Day CZ!

Absolutely breathtaking photographs of the Narodni... →
Karel Cudlin was the third photographer commissioned to document a season’s activity at the Czech Republic’s National Theatre. Unlike his predecessors Bohdan Holomicek and Viktor Kronbauer, however, this was Cudlin’s first experience photographing theatre. His body of work (notably Ukraine, Israel, and the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Czech territory) is inspired by the best humanist...

It just makes me sad/nervous because my last winter break of college when I should be engaging in debauchery/sleeping virtually every day, I’ll be slaving away/crying. yo girl, just think about how much fun you’re going to have when you’re living in LA! I’ll be right there with...

You know guys, today was really great.
I made the executive decision that I’m moving back to Prague in September.  Of course in the fantasy world that many like to call “Arich Land” this was always the case, but it finally came together in my head as actually being the most responsible decision I could make during my year off.  Yeah, I need to start being brave again! I miss that girl.

Ali Pasha of Jannina
Atrocities:  The cruelties inflicted by Ali Pasha on his subjects became notorious throughout the region, and have been described in local folksong and poetry. Forty years after the inhabitants of Gardhiq and Hormova, Albania, had wronged his mother after murdering his father Veli Bey (according to the story, she was tied and put in prison and, with her daughter, raped and tortured every night...

Stressed. So many exams. Too much reading.
Would just like to be able to cuddle with my boyfriend for five minutes to help me relax.  Getting A’s (hopefully) will have to suffice? =(
